Course Objective
A two-day trauma course aimed at all medical and paramedical staff involved in the care of patients following equestrian trauma.
Course Content
Core modules in kinematics, scene safety, advanced airway techniques, cardio-
respiratory assessment, spinal immobilisation, fracture immobilisation, head injury management, packaging and evacuation, removal of the new Woofwear Exo body cage. Practical sessions focus on equestrian
related scenarios.
Minimum Qualifications / notes
First aid at work qualification or health care professional with an interest
in equestrian cover.

Accredited by The Royal College of Anaesthetists for 10 CPD Points
Our course is aimed at individuals providing first aid / medical cover at equestrian
events. The course uses our core modules
The course is a very practical course and all the training scenarios are based
around equestrian incidents. We have also been asked by the Medical
Equestrian Association on the practicalities of treating a casualty wearing body armour like
the exo body cage, in particular how to remove the armour from the casualty and
package them for transport to hospital, this is included in our course.
