Course Objective
To allow the provider to respond to a casualty and manage medical /
trauma emergencies.

3 year, with yearly up dates for defibrillator training option
Course Content
Core modules in kinematics, scene safety, advanced airway techniques,
cardio- respiratory assessment, spinal immobilisation, fracture immobilisation,
defibrillation, medical gases, packaging and evacuation. Practical
sessions focus on fire related scenarios including RTC's, falls from
heights and confined space rescue.
Minimum Qualifications / notes
Professional fire-fighter or member of works or airport fire brigade interest
in casualty care
We are able to offer our courses which are ideal for the serving fire-fighter, all our instructors have had close links with the fire service and the course is very practical and specific to the fire service.
We are able to offer different levels of training starting at our trauma awareness course up to our full three day trauma course.
In the F-TAR course practical elements include RTC casualty care,
methods of extrication vs. casualties condition, confined space extrication
and falls from height. Because of the experience of our instructors
it is very easy to facilitate brigades individual requests for particular
training components or to arrange one of our instructors to be present
for ongoing drills / training
